That picture of him and his wife is adorable! They're almost snuggling, they look so happy together. How could even someone like Trump find anything wrong with it?

And then Melania and Donald look like comic book villians.

I welcome someone with the guts to tell it like it is. It's about time we stop pussy footing with these.......

I'm so confused! Are you saying that I have guts? Cause all I said was that they're such a cute couple. That didn't take any courage.

I wish I had guts, I'd go stand in front of Israeli bulldozers, or block ICE from snatching people off the street, or do something really serious. In real life I'm such a coward.

I think Dr. El-Sayed could have left Chuck Schumer out of his statement, but for the rest of it --right on!!

Many democrats want Schumer and Jeffries to step aside and actual leadership to step forward. I’m one of them.

I am one of those! Schumer and Jefferies are as useless as taking a plastic spoon to a knife fight. I'm DONE with both of them!

Ann W's avatar

Ii understand that, but they are still in office and will be after the next election. The newly elected folks--and I am hoping El-Sayed is one of them--and those now seen as the old guard will have to find a way to work together. If Dems do get control of the Senate, it will be much easier than the way Schumer and Jeffries have had to function in the face of complete GOP obstruction.

Both Shumer and Jeffries have broken moral compasses. Shumer should have been leading the resistance all along. He seemed unaware of the problems..for many years. I don't know how he can look at the state of the USA and look at his own face in the mirror. It's way past the strongly worded letter stage.

Name 3 specific actions you think he should have taken (and you might give him the respect of spelling his name correctly).

1) he should have realized that the old game was over after the Supreme court appointment shenanigans. Schumer (I didn't check the autocorrect) didn't to realize that the 'gentleman's agreement" days were over and it was time to take the gloves off.

2) He should have pestered Merrick Garland every single day to move on prosecuting Trump.

3) He should have realized that giving blank cheques to Netanyahu was a terrible mistake over there and politically at home.

Do you remember when he finally took at stand when he was outside chanting "we will resist" or whatever it? That looked like a small-town city council protest. Pathetic! I could go on for hours.

The hell with Chuck. What has he done lately except take AIPAC $ and support the Israeli Nazi

I agree with you, coexist, learn from each other and work together. Prove people can work together for the people and greater good!

Reality check! 90% to 95% of Democrats and 85% to 90% of Republicans take money from pro-Israel lobbies, including AIPAC. 60 to 75% of Democrats and 80% to 90% of Republicans take money from corporate/business PACs. Who do you think they work for?

The Republican Party stigmatized Democrats for supporting DEI.

Well, DEI, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is better any day than what THEY stand for:

RACISM, MISOGYNY and CORRUPTION

I think it is high time to be unapologetic about having candidates that are intelligent(Rhodes scholar), compassionate and possess empathy for the struggles of the common man, and can eloquently articulate a plan moving forward with his only loyalty pledge being for the American people. And news flash, he doesn’t have a criminal record and is not named in the Epstein files!

He needs to start bragging.

What has Trump ever done? Shell games with money to buy and loot companies. Stiff anyone signing a contract. Bankruptcy on purpose to unload debt.

The Democratic party has ignored WV for years. It feels left behind and that the Democrats think of the state as poor white trash. The only way the Democratic party will be able to take it back is by supporting candidates in multiple ways. Give them air time on national and independent media, financially contribute to their campaigns and visit WV and stand by their side. the Republicans running for Congress are incumbents and very wealthy. Their opposition are poor and have limited resources. It is an uphill battle worth fighting.

Wrong word choice: "Headwinds" are the winds opposing your moving forward to your goal. Use "winds" or "tailwinds." In this case "jet stream" would be most appropriate.
